Celebration Time

My My .... how time flies.

And, how thankful I am that I have time.

It was 20 years ago today that I had the last of the chemo for my colon cancer. Talk about being thankful we found it early enough so that I have had these 20 years to enjoy. Thanking God for all His good blessings.

Home from the hospital after surgery and a big hug from my granddaughter.

  1. I so agree about time flying Latane - thankfully you were diligent and did what was necessary to have all these wonderful years . . . . and beat cancer. Next month will be 35 years since my own totally unexpected colon cancer was diagnosed! Following major surgery and radiation, then two years later more radiation and chemo, I am still here. Looks like we were both blessed. . . . and had great doctors and medical technicians who saved our lives. I still think of them all often and give thanks.
Keep on keeping on dear friend - we still have lots to do with the years left.
    Hugs - Mary

  2. I agree our time on earth with loved ones is precious, every minute of it. It gives me time to praise God for His blessings and to enjoy life. Be well as you heal from surgery.

  5. Congrats Latane on your 20 years! I lost my dad, sister and brother to cancer... and it's been 22 years for me since my surgery and radiation for Breast Cancer. We have been blessed.

  6. Twenty years and counting is terrific. Every 4 years I have a colonoscopy. My mom died at 70 and my uncle at 76...both of colon cancer.
This may sound strange but the head board of the bed you're in looks very familiar.. We have my grandmothers bed in our guest room and it looks to be the same as yours. She bought it around the 1930's, I love covering it with quilts.

    1. Patty McDonald, That bed was bought in 1951 right after my husband and I got married. It being a double bed it is now gone but I still use the dresser, chest of drawers and nightstand.
