A Happy Place

                                                           Mercy Me!

My balcony on 3rd floor was/wasn't a place of joy for me. It never seemed to be what I wanted it to be, a place to read, take pictures, paint... an extension of me out there. It truly was uninviting.

But, just look at it now...

Chairs and table, a taller size, one which I can work on. The chairs provide me a view that being shorter in this older age did not. (I am shrinking , you know).
I was looking through the railings before. Now I can see over them.

I love it!

Many happy days spent on my balcony ahead, I am sure.

Throwback Thursday

My husband sitting on his brother-in-law's cabin porch in 2004.
One of my favorite picture of him.

  7. Nice change on the balcony. We have the higher chairs on our porch too. Now the railing isn't in the way!!

  8. I know exactly how you feel about your new furniture. We did the same when we lived in an apartment with a balcony. High table and high chairs so we could see what was out there. When we moved we passed the table and chairs to friends who had a balcony and they love having meals there.

  12. Great pics, Latane - both your balcony and your husband relaxing on the porch. You might want to hang some ferns or greenery around on the balcony (but that's me - and may not be the look/feel you're going for).

  14. I even want to come sit on that balcony. I have a little table on the front porch. Before Roger's stroke, we used to sit out there and have breakfast a lot of mornings. I like that picture of your hubby.
