I Knew It Would Happen!!

I knew it would happen....

                                    One of these days..........

And, when it did, I was so upset I nearly cried.

Yep, I left my purse in a restaurant we were eating at yesterday. Got all the way to my daughters before I realized it was not with my things.

I knew it would happen....

Someday. The first time it happened for my Mom, she was 76 years old. Hey, I will be 86 in a few days. I made it ten years longer than she did.

Thank God, my purse was still there, all intact. God is good. Some nitwit could have picked it up and took off. I can't imagine the trouble cancelling credit cards, renewing driver licenses etc, etc might be.

You can bet your sweet patooty I won't forget it again. I'll just tie a string around my finger...

and then forget what the string is for!

  1. So glad nobody stole it - such a chore having to cancel cards etc.
Guess it comes to us all! I am somewhat forgetful when putting things somewhere at home and then can't find them! Fortunately Bob is big and there's nowhere to hide in our small house!
Happy New Year dear Latane - take good care of yourself. . . . . . .and your purse!

  2. Phew. You were so lucky it was still there. I left mine in the doctor's exam room the other day but remembered half ways down the hall. Was a bit of a shock but I did manage to laugh about it.

  3. Don't you hate that feeling... when you either left your purse or your cell phone (or even just thought you did)? It's so awful. I have to say that most people are good and will turn it in. Both DH and I have lost cell phones (mine in Barnes and Noble - left on a shelf and his fell out of the car in the Best Buy parking lot. Both times the phones were turned in and we got them back. So glad your purse was still there.

  4. So glad it turned out OK!
I left my purse in the restroom at the doctor's office the other day, and I am only 69!
(It was still there when I thought of it a few minutes later)
    Have a wonderful day!

  5. WOW, that could have turned out bad... but didn't! I had my purse stolen many years ago while on vacation and it was a nightmare. Happy that yours was still there and all the contents in tact! Have a blessed Sunday dear friend, HUGS!

  6. Wow, I'm so glad you were able to get your purse back intact. Don't be too harsh on yourself. We've all done something like this. I can't tell you how many times I go nuts looking for my cell phone when all the time it is in one of my hands. And I'm only eighty. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

  7. So glad everything was there. I carry a small makeup size bag with my wallet in my bigger tote bag, which keeps me organized. Wishes for a good Sunday!

  8. A happy ending to what could have been a troublesome situation. And, it’s why most times I don’t carry a purse, but put needed things in my deep jeans pockets.
