Hugs and Kisses For Valentine's Day

 It's spring....

No, not really but we did have a couple days of near 60 degrees. It was gorgeous and a precursor to what we can expect a little later on if we can just hang on through the rest of the winter.

So, naturally I took advantage of it being so nice. Had lunch with dau Shirley and granddau. Brittany on Wednesday. Then the very next day I had lunch out with Shirley again.... Tomorrow we are having a valentine's day party here at Centerbrooke.

What do you all plan to do for Valentine's Day? Guess it depends on who your sweetheart is! I'm my own best sweetheart these days. We gals decorated white lunch bags and tomorrow we'll drop our valentine's into each other's bags. Do you remember those days in school when you'd do something like that?

I still have Valentines that were given to me as a child not yet school age... Here's one or two of them.

Valentine's don't look like that anymore.

You all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Hope you get lots of chocolate and flowers and hugs and kisses!

  1. I love your old valentines!
Our daughter is turning 40 on Valentines Day so I'm taking her out shopping and for lunch. Bob and I are just going out for supper.
Happy Valentines Day! Enjoy the party.

  2. I love the old school valentines - like mini works of art! I will be at work that day, but I sewed some cute burlap bags with heart appliques and filled them with treats from IKEA. It was fun for me, too.

  5. How lovely to have those Valentines from your childhood. Lovely you had those lunches with your family and will be busy tomorrow with the girls. We will be spending it quietly. It gets way too crowded out there. We have loads of restaurants around here, but they all have hour-long and longer waiting times. Happy Valentine's Day Latane and have a wonderful day with friends.

  6. Those old valentines bring back memories. We video chatted with our youngest daughter while she and her 3 year old made valentines for her daycare friends. That was fun. I love that you all are carrying on that tradition! Today we went out for lunch, that was about it for us. It was a very good day though.
    Happy Valentine's Day Latane!

  7. Glad the weather is improving, Latane, and here as well but no 60s yet. The lunch get togethers sounded fun and the party must have been as well. We dined at home for Hearts Day and then watched a movie, a relaxing evening with no crowds or waiting.
