Shirley had a doctor appt. so she swung by and picked me up. it was so nice to get out and be with people again.
We'd been wanting to go to a new restaurant that opened nearby. First Watch... ever heard of it? The place has been packed since opening but with this snow around, it's easier to get a table and that's what we did.
I got the Farmers Breakfast (eggs, bacon, cheese all piled on top of country potatoes).
That was good but my favorite is the breakfast with turkey sausage gravy over a biscuit with an egg.
She took some pictures while we were out so I will share those with you. It's interesting how the terrain changes at different times, constantly being different. Makes looking at this world exciting every time you take time to do that. These are from around my apartment building.
It's gonna be 40 degrees today, folks!! Wow. But. later today we have a dusting of snow coming back in. It's a bad winter that's for sure.
I just finished a painting. What's a gal to do when she's stuck indoors? Right?

What a lovely outing! Shirley is so pretty, she looks a lot like you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice outing for you!
ReplyDeleteWow that was some meal you had, looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day and the pictures of you and Shirley are great! I do love going to First Watch, great breakfast. Stay warm and keep painting. You're talented!!
ReplyDeleteThe breakfast looks good but the smiling faces of you and your daughter were even better, Latane. No, I have not heard of First Watch and if it is a chain, there are, none in Nashua, NH
ReplyDeleteWe have heard of First Watch, and there is one not too far away too. Have not tried it though. Glad you got out. We are in -15 degree weather today, so getting out of the house, when it does happen, will feel glorious for me.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter could be your sister! Nice photos and even prettier watercolor. (: Get all the sun while you can!
ReplyDeleteEating breakfast food out in restaurants is my favorite but I don't actually order breakfast food unless it's before lunch time because I also have lunch favorites. That's probably why eating breakfast food out is my favorite thing to do as I do it so seldom:) Your little bird painting is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHello, Latane! It's been a while since I've blogged and I've missed seeing what you are getting up to! That's such a cute photo of you by the snow pile... What a huge pile of snow! Your breakfast looked delicious! I'm glad you are finally getting a warm up. Here in Idaho, it looks and feels like spring. Our high for tomorrow will be in the high 50's! Normal for us in February is low 30's. Were going to have a very dry summer :0(. Take care! Hugs, Barb
