We have become so adjusted to the new gadgets in our lives! Keeping up with the times, we forget the old ways.
Case in point....
My car fob died and I couldn't lock my car. I was lamenting to my son, Michael, that I was afraid someone would steal something out of my car since I couldn't lock it.
He said, 'Mom, you have a key. Just insert it into the door and lock your car manually'.
DUH!
Ha - I would have done the same!
ReplyDeleteOur truck doesn't even have a keyhole on the door. I had to have a locksmith come and program a new fob and cut a new key for the ignition (which also has a chip in it). Yes, the new gadgets can sometimes be annoying.
ReplyDeleteI bought a new car last week and noticed the key lock on the outside and thought "well, when am I ever going to use THAT?", ha ha.
ReplyDeleteSounds like me! I remember when cars had two different keys, one for the ignition and one for the doors!
ReplyDeleteOh! I sooo get it.. I am overwhelmed by all the "apps" I need to drive, pay parking, and even see a menu... crazy
ReplyDeleteDon't feel too bad. For a long time I didn't know that my fob had a key inside of it. GM
ReplyDeleteHa ha We couldn't unlock our car but managed when I pointed out to my husband he had inadvertently pressed the central lock button!
