How to Pull A Tooth?

I got in to see my dentist. He said that bothersome tooth had to come out. I told him that he sure was messing up my ability to chew on that side.

But, it will have to come out.

I am thinking..... do I have him pull it with just my jaw deadened?

Or do I get put to sleep and just wake up with it gone?

I've had it done both ways.

How do you gals get your teeth pulled?

I hope you don't have to but just in case you do... deadening or sleep

Help me out here.

  2. Deadening!! Why go through the risk of general anesthesia if you don't have to?!?!
If you have anxiety pre-procedure, ask your dentist for a couple of either Valium or Xanax.
    Good luck!

  3. Have it deadened. My dentist also offers other drugs for anxious patients which do not knock you out.

  4. I haven't had a tooth pulled in a LONG time but probably sleep sounds less painful to me, or a little of both:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!

  5. I'm a total wimp at the dentist, I always have the 'gas' that just relaxes me and wears off immediately.

  6. After my last pulling that lasted nearly three hours, it will be sleep for me. May everything go smoothly for you.
