We got through Covid Thanksgiving!!
Different to be sure but we did it.
The gathering around the table was small, just those folks we felt safe with. I just hope that next Thanksgiving will be normal. You know, lots of people. As for food, this year we had turkey and goose and all the trimmings. And, we were so blessed to just be together. We were well, had some family around us, and we had food to eat. God is good!
How was your Thanksgiving? So many people were without their families this year. That's so sad. But, it sure makes you appreciate what you do have when you have it.
Oh that sounds like a great Thanksgiving and I really like the poem...it is so true!
ReplyDeleteOur Thanksgiving came in October and we were just four. We bought our meal from a local place to support them. We stay close to home. Video chats are a regular as are many texts.
ReplyDeleteThe world will be different and next year may be like this year. Covid is not just deadly to people but also to jobs and spending so there will be changes. We are so caught up in trying to stay well while others protest and spread the virus. They turn a blind eye to how real the danger is.
Stay safe.
So happy that you were able to enjoy Thanksgiving. I also hope next year life will be back to normal. Our Thanksgiving was smaller than usual, but we enjoyed it just the same. Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteOur Thanksgiving gatherings were even more precious this year. Wow, you had goose, I have never eaten that and wouldn't know where to buy one. I am guessing it is delicious.
