What's a Little Wrinkle?

People have always commented on my smooth skin.

But lately... I don't know what happened. All of a sudden there's wrinkles everywhere!

Looks like I need to iron my face....(and neck)

I did buy me some of that fancy, expensive wrinkle cream. I spread it over my face and lo and behold, the wrinkles seemed to disappear. I thought "It's a miracle."

                                                                                   NOT...

After a while those stinking wrinkles crept right back into place. So much for fancy creams that you rob a bank to pay for.

So, I embrace each wrinkle. Lordy, I am so thankful that I have wrinkles to talk about. Living a long life is a blessing. Guess at my age you could say I am 'doubly blessed'.

I like this quote. I may make it my mantra.

"Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. L. F. Phelan

                                                                               Amen to that!

  1. Wrinkles just add character to the features. I enjoyed reading your blog, I think we both share an enthusiasm for life and the adventures that still lay ahead.

  2. They say wrinkles are just the map of one's well-lived life - which means I should have plenty having traveled to the seven continents, haha!
Actually my wrinkles are not too bad yet, it's all the other little bumps, tags, veins, and bits and bobs that seem to just pop up overnight sometimes!
I've now really cut back on makeup as I think I look better without too much 'war paint' at this point - just a good moisturizer, one for AM another for PM, I use eltaMD (and now sunscreen when outside in summertime), plus a touch of mascara. . . . . . .but I never forgo my lipstick, especially reds. I feel totally naked without lipstick!

You do look very young still Latane so know those good family genes, your classic clothes, hairstyle etc. all combine to make you look exceptionally fabulous for your age.

    Hugs, Mary

    1. Aren't you sweet, Mary!! I have noticed that when I put blush on it really accents the wrinkles on my cheeks. Gotta stop using that stuff! I feel naked with earrings, isn't that weird? Can forgo the necklace, the bracelet but I'd better have those earrings on. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll stop in at momanddaughterlunch.blogspot.com. My daughter's blog. It's all about our times out having lunch. And, I hope you'll come back to see me.

  3. I have found that as I age, I use less and less make-up. Still use a bit of foundation (to even out those color spots), but haven't used eye make-up or lipstick in years...

  4. Use only eyebrow pencil(don't have much eyebrows without it) and CeraVe cream is wonderful for moisturizing!
