A Green Thumb? Nah....

It's growing season. Now, I am not a gardening person and I certainly don't have the place for one here at the apartment but I manage to dabble a bit in the dirt.

A friend gave me an antherium that has done well regardless of my lack of taking care of growing things. It just continues to bloom and bloom and bloom. Reminds me of our time in Hawaii.

a couple years ago, when I was visiting my son, I came home with one of his plants. Why, don't even ask me but it has survived... and now it has a bloom. I didn't know the thing bloomed ever.

Sunday when we ate lunch with my grandson and his family, his wife Bethany, gave me a tray of basil. That I can grow!
too many plants.

Michael planted what I need

and now I have posted here at the apartment my willing for the remainder of the plants to find a new home.

What are you planting at your homes? Or do you? I love plants, don't get me wrong, but just let someone else take over their care!!

  1. Because I have a kitty who likes to eat plants (she's inside) the only indoor plant I have is a African violet I just bought for myself. They're not toxic to cats and those furry leaves don't seem to attract her so, and she's not nibbling at it!
    Your plants are nice!

  2. I love gardening but I do better outdoors than indoors. I never seem to get the watering right with my indoor plants. Your anthurium is very pretty.

  5. hehehe...i do love your spirit!! i love to garden and "grow things"...often i grow more than we can eat. you can grow almost anything in a pot, my tomato plants are in pots this year. i have about 8 plants indoor, just enough so i have something green and alive in the house. you can grow basil indoors or out, google it. you should be able to keep that plant indoors over winter, just don't let it flower. if you do prune it back a little and be sure to pinch off the flowers!!

  7. We don’t have room for planting as we also live in an apartment. But, Patrick has planted a small herb garden in containers by the LR window. Your basil looks wonderful, Latane!

  9. I'm afraid I have about 20 or more houseplants! I am so happy when it is summer and I can put them on the porch. That isn't counting my herbs: basil, oregano, rosemary, and lemongrass.

  10. I have grown sprouts inside that were fun to eat. I have some herbs that I'll grow coming up. Nice to have them on the ready to use. Wishing you a fun week. Cheers, Ivy.
