I am proud that all my children are readers....
And, it's very interesting to kind out what genre they like to read. Not a one of them likes the same kind of book. Me, I jump all over the place... fiction, self-help, historical novels, bios, mysteries. You name it, I've tried it ... Well, I couldn't include sci-fi but just about everything else.
Susan listens to audio books and she was telling me about one she thought she'd purchase for me because she was loving it. Her mama was sure to, too. I had to remind her that Mama doesn't see quite as well as she used to. That's why Mama uses a Kindle so she can control the size of the font.
Bless her little pea-picking heart. She went ahead and sent me that book she was telling me about....
She'd ordered it in big print!
Now this book is a good sized book to begin with but Lordy mercy in big print, I can hardly pick this thing up!

I actually got this book from our public library but got past the first few pages ... because of its sheer size. Now I'm hearing so many good things about it, I'm flirting with the idea of buying the audio version to keep me entertained on the walking trail.
ReplyDeletesounds like a great idea. My daughter says the audio is better because of the southern accent the narrrator presents the reading in.
DeleteI bet it's a good one. I really enjoyed The Help!
