I loved this video you made Latane. You looked so great and gave good advice that has helped me. I have not long been using a walker and I still try to make excuses not to. My adjuster needs adjusting and you have helped a lot. Your video came at the right time. I will try the flowers but I surely wish I had found one that is hot pink!!! Thank you so much!
You and my mom were close in age - she would have been 95 this year. Seeing and listening to you makes me feel nostalgic and you gave me some good things to think on for my own future!
You are amazing! I loved your video. I had to use a walker after an accident. I hated using it, but was happy it made navigating my surroundings easier. I stopped fearing what other people thought of me and just enjoyed using it. You have such a zest for life. Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts. It helps me gain a better understanding about aging and life.
I love your little video!! Since I broke my ankle last year I have to use a cane and it has been an adjustment for me too. BUT I ask myself if being seen as old is as bad as if I fall and am humiliated because I can't get up. I suppose if I live long enough I'll get a snazzy walker too.
You go Latane! My dad preferred a three wheel walker. One wheel in the front and two wheels in the back. He found that walker easier to use than the four wheeled walker that my mom used. I never thought of them as old when they used those walkers. I just thought how wonderful it was that they were able to get around so well because of those walkers:)
Latane, you are lovely. I don't think you are O-L-D. I know what you mean though, I just had knee replacement surgery, and I can't even get out of the car by myself yet, have to use the walker for every step, it's making me feel old! But who cares, really? I'm glad I was able to get the surgery, and that I have the walker...life is too short to sweat the things we can't change. I want to see pictures of that snazzy pink walker!
