I'm off again....
Tomorrow I will head to Michael's in Alabama for a couple week/longer visit. He has been here in Virginia for a week just waiting for Memorial day traffic to thin out and we will take off south. It should be warmer down there. I think it will fit me better since we are having some cooler temps these last few days. The older I get, the colder my body temp is. I look forward to temps that are above 60s.
Then, I am going to come home and keep myself put for awhile. Don't you think that is a good idea? I do!
I hope all of you had a good Memorial Day weekend. I don't have anyone in my close family that we lost in war but I do know so many families that have.
I will leave you with some random photos of flowers.
I have always loved this plant. It's a watermelon Pepperonia. I had one many years ago, just don't see them for purchase much any more.
Hello, my friend. I hope you have more lovely visiting and safe and happy travels. I will be excited to hear of your journey when you return home.
ReplyDeleteHi Latane, Have a wonderful time visiting with your son!

Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are never boring! I hope you have a grand time. (:
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all of the beautiful flowers. I love the scent of that beautiful tree. I have one in my yard and mama always calls it Granddaddy's beard or Fringe tree. Grancy greybeard is first time I heard it called that. I do not see many anymore around and love the one in my yard. I heard they are very hard to transplant. The moon vine is beautiful, it almost glows at night.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun and safe trip visiting your son! You are lucky to have such great kids! Always looks forward to your posts, they're never boring!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful new adv enture you will be having, Latane. And, maybe your idea of resting up for a while when you return is what you will need with your whirlwind travel schedule. 😀
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your return with lotsof photos to share.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time in Alabama!!
ReplyDeleteHello, I’m catching up with all your news. I adore seeing all these plants. I think I saw a moon vine once, does it flower at nightime? I went trekking at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, melted my boots - but that’s another story :) I recall a beautiful flower, which looked similar, which I only saw bloom in the night. I don’t blame it, would have been frazzled in the day. I planted a magnolia tree just last week for my birthday, hope it takes, the soil at the farm is clay, although we added some special compost to the mix. I hope your visit to Alabama is going well. Xx
