I Love The Mountains!

Where I live it's pretty flat (Tidewater Virginia). So, when I travel west I start looking for those beautiful mountains in both Virginia and Tennessee.

Which do you like the best, the mountains or the beach? Or are you like me... in love with them both?

  2. I prefer the mountains and that is where I live.
But I love to walk along the shore line on the beach and could do that for hours. Haven't been to the beach in a long time!!

  3. It's fairly flat here, and lots of beaches! But if I'm vacationing, it's the mountains I love!

  5. Hi Latane, I would love to live where I could see mountains. As the cold weather approaches, I would prefer the beaches. Ha!

  6. Wales is renown for its mountains and altho' we can see them we live by the sea. One time I had a hospital appointment, in an older cottage hospital, our Sat nav took us up and over a mountain, which I didn't know was possible! Narrow little lanes but very pretty.

  9. Latane, I love these pictures. Mountains are amazing, I've been up Mt. Rainier a few times in Washington state, (driving, not climbing ha), and the Adirondacks in New York are beautiful too. I love the beach though! Small Adirondack lake beaches, Great Lakes sandy beaches, and ocean beaches...anyway, so glad you are on a fun trip! Thanks for sharing it with us!

  10. I spent the first 22 years of my life on the totally flat prairies. Now I've lived with mountains always on the horizon for 56 years. I'd miss them terribly if I had to go back to prairie. I hope you're having a great get-away. GM
