I worked as an AMT in a cat specialty hospital for years and forever brought home kittens. And we've taken in feral kittens and raised them if no home was found. At one time we had 8. Our house cats usually lived 15-20 years, so they really became part of the family. The last 3 we lost right as the pandemic started and we miss them terribly. But we have decided that as much as we miss them... at our age we cannot take in any more... but we do continue to feed and watch over the ferals that come around.
